The Lowland Park Brand

                                   What is branding?

Freeze branding involves applying extremely cold branding irons on to a shaved and cleaned area of the animals hide, we use a liquid nitrogen. Branding deactives the hair colour follicle resulting in white hair growing back.

This method of branding is completely stress and pain free and leaves the hide undamaged.

Fire branding is illegal in New Zealand and we would not anyway.

                         Freeze branding is entirely cosmetic.

Our Lowlines are special in many ways. Every Lowland Park branded Registered stud Lowline animal carries our mark of quality, our brand, earned by passing or exceeding benchmark expectation with growth, carcase scanning, functionality and temperament- the right to breed on, guaranteeing our customers they are fit for purpose

Two capital ‘LL’s are the Lowland Park brand which stand for Lowland, but can be read as Lowline or Lowland Park Lowlines. Either way, you decide. Underneath is their sequential lifetime ID birth number which can be searched for in the ALCA Herdbook, very handy if you have seen a picture of the animal and want to know it’s details

Lowland Park Tassie MTWT327

Branded LL 327

The branded hair will turn white as it grows, easily identifying Tassie in the paddock and online.

A lot of Lowlines look the same, otherwise.
